This
was authentic, but is now over. Some emails said that clicking the ribbon
would
result in a contribution to "the breast center." In
reality, the donations were going to the Susan G. Komen
Foundation. It was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to
honor the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died from breast
cancer at the age of 36. The Komen Foundation is a national
organization with a network of volunteers working through local
chapters and Race for the Cure events in over 100 cities.
